InFECT-TT
InFECT-TT
InFECT-TT is a €7.5 million grant programme funded by the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO). InFECT-NL is the coordinator of InFECT-TT. Through InFECT-TT, we aim to bring scientific ideas for infectious disease product development to market. The programme consists of two pillars.
Under Pillar 1, the Knowledge Transfer Offices of Amsterdam UMC, Leiden UMC, Radboudumc, UMC Groningen and UMC Utrecht have formed a consortium led by InFECT-NL. Pillar 1 supports development from concept to spin-off. Validation vouchers and spin-off vouchers worth €25,000 each are available to support researchers at the participating organizations.
Pillar 2 aims to improve access to risk capital for knowledge-based start-ups by encouraging independent private investors to invest in their earliest stages of development through a TTT fund. Given the high investment risks associated with this early stage, market financing is often very limited. In such cases, the Infectious Disease Innovation Fund can offer a solution.
Dr. Sabien van der Schoot is Program Director of Pillar 1 (InFECT-TT) en Dr. Rob Mayfield is Managing Director of Pillar 2 (Infectious Disease Innovation
